Sandy Alcantara has made six starts at home since June. He has thrown at least 6.2 innings (20 outs) in each one. Also, Alcantara's home ERA of 2.58 is considerably lower than his road ERA (4.32). I'm comfortable riding those trends once again as he takes on the Mets on Tuesday night.

Andruw Monasterio had a memorable hot stretch at the plate that correlated to the Red Sox season turn around. Now his role has changed with Trevor Story healthy, as he has seen a decline in playing time. He is just 1 for his last 16 at the plate, and has not had a multi hit game since August 18th. As great as Reid Detmers has been, the Red Sox are one of two non divisional teams that he gave up five runs or more against this season. Take Monasterio to break out of his slump, and play his combination line over.

DraftKings. This is an example easy bet on Cam Schlittler’s strikeouts - a line he’s cleared in nine of his last 14 starts. He’ll face a Rockies lineup that should be chock-full of lefties (likely 6-7), which is his better split (33.7% K%). Additionally, the Cy Young hopeful will have the added boost of the Coors effect, with the Rockies coming off a weeklong homestand, and traditionally more prone to strikeouts immediately following home series.

I really like the number here given the pitching matchup. AJ Smith-Shawver has been terrible in his four starts back from injury with a 7.13 ERA. Meanwhile, I kept saying the Rays would fix Freddy Peralta and he's been outstanding in his last two starts (5 H, 1 ER in 12 IP).

Analysis

The Cubs knocked Jacob Misiorowski out of the game in just four innings last start, and they'll face him for the second time in a week now. Miz does get the advantage of pitching at home here, as he noted the humidity in Wrigley Field was a problem last time out. Still, I have the Cubs projecting over three runs and would price this around -145 at worst, so I think we have some value left. Even though Chicago only scored three runs last night, they got one late off closer Trevor Megill thanks to a PCA homer, so the full nine at bats is key here. The Brewers bullpen has also been stretched thin over the last few days.
