Analysis

The Rays are the best team in the AL and have a 50-25 record at home. The A's are awful. Griffin Jax on the mound for the Rays has mostly been good with a few clunkers mixed in, but the A's lineup -- especially on the road -- these days isn't scary. A's starter Jack Perkins has a 6.53 ERA. This won't be close.

Analysis

Monday's loss was a rough one for the Guardians as they now sit 1.5 games behind the White Sox for the lead in the American League Central Division. But on Tuesday, Cleveland hands the ball to Foster Griffin, who is 15-5 this season combined for the Nationals and Guardians. In April, the left hander held Chicago scoreless over seven innings in a no-decision in Washington's 2-1 win over the White Sox. Meanwhile, the Sox have lost 8 of Davis Martin's last 10 appearances. With less than two weeks to go in the regular season, there's not much more room for error for Cleveland and they really could use this victory. I think they'll get it at home on Tuesday night.

FanDuel (+132). We hit this Yoshinobu Yamamoto outs prop versus the Reds in his last start, and we’re now getting better odds this time around. The Reds continue to struggle mightily at the plate with a .651 OPS over the last two weeks against righties. The park factor for Great American Ballpark is not as hitter friendly as it had been over the summer, and Yamamoto flourishes on the road as is (1.94 ERA). The Dodgers’ ace has cleared this line in each of his last four starts while pitching to a 2.20 ERA since the All Star Break.

The Dodgers offense was completely dormant on Monday night and it doesn't help they were missing Freddie Freeman and Shohei Ohtani. The status of Freeman is up in the air but I think he could play tonight against the righty. Regardless, this Dodgers lineup was watered down six days ago when they faced Rhett Lowder and they still scored 14 runs, seven of which came off the starter. LA's top 3 hitters went 0-12 last night which feels like an outlier, and yet they scored four runs on a couple homers. I'll take them to have five or more runs scored tonight in a better offensive effort.
