Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Iffy for Monday
Gordon is questionable for Monday's Game 5 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Timberwolves due to left calf tightness.
Gordon has been dealing with the left calf issue for some time, and he even exited Game 4 briefly due to the issue. If he is unable to go Monday, Tim Hardaway and Spencer Jones could see expanded roles.

Nuggets' Peyton Watson: Still out
Watson (hamstring) is out for Monday's Game 5 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Timberwolves.
Watson has not played in a game since April 1 due to a right hamstring strain. His next chance to suit up comes Thursday, should Denver force a Game 6.

Nuggets' Spencer Jones: Held scoreless in defeat
Jones contributed zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt), four rebounds, two blocks and one steal in 25 minutes during Saturday's 112-96 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Jones performed clean-up duty and also stepped in for Aaron Gordon briefly after the latter went to the locker room due to a calf injury. Jones' meager production mimicked below-average results from the first-unit wings, yet he could be relied on for a bigger role in Game 5 if Gordon's calf issue limits him in any way. Although Jones started for Gordon in Game 3, he's generated only 11 total points over the four-game series against the Timberwolves.

Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Tamped down in defeat
Johnson logged nine points (3-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 2-4 FT), two rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal across 27 minutes during Saturday's 112-96 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Johnson's production has slowed in the first round, averaging only 10.0 points, 1.5 assists, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.8 steals over four games against the Timberwolves. Although Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are propping up the team with stellar production, the two superstars need more help from the supporting cast. Right now, Johnson isn't holding up his end of the bargain. The Nuggets will face elimination Monday night, and the pressure will be on Johnson, Christian Braun and Aaron Gordon to deliver better results.

Nuggets' Christian Braun: Held in check during loss
Braun ended Saturday's 112-96 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with eight points (2-4 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist, one block and one steal across 34 minutes.
Braun only took four shot attempts in the loss, ceding most of the backcourt output to Jamal Murray in the Game 4 defeat. Now facing an elimination game, the Nuggets desperately need more production from the supporting cast, and Braun could be set up for an easier task with Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles) and Anthony Edwards (knee) shelved.

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Modest output after brief exit
Gordon closed Saturday's 112-96 loss to Minnesota in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs with nine points (4-11 FG, 1-5 3Pt), one rebound and one block in 23 minutes.
Gordon briefly headed to the locker room with a calf injury but made it back to the bench before the end of the contest. It seemed obvious that Gordon was struggling during a few possessions, and he may not be ready for Monday's elimination game against the Timberwolves. More news should emerge after Monday morning.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Another 30-point performance
Murray contributed 30 points (10-25 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one block across 42 minutes during Saturday's 112-96 loss to the Timberwolves in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.
Murray scored 11 of his team-high 30 points in the fourth quarter, but his efforts were not enough for the Nuggets to mount a comeback. Murray has scored exactly 30 points in three of four games of the series while also recording at least five rebounds and five assists. The series will return to Denver on Monday, when Murray and the Nuggets will look to embark on coming back from a 3-1 series deficit against a Timberwolves team that will be without Donte DiVincenzo (Achilles) and Anthony Edwards (knee) moving forward.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Ejected in fourth quarter
Jokic was ejected from Saturday's Game 4 loss to the Timberwolves with 1.3 seconds left in the fourth quarter. He finished with 24 points (8-22 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 8-8 FT), 15 rebounds, nine assists, three steals and a block across 41 minutes.
Jokic went straight at Jaden McDaniels after the forward scored a layup in the final seconds when the game was already decided, and the star big man was ejected following a fight that got several players from both teams involved. It remains to be seen if the league will take any disciplinary action toward Jokic ahead of Game 5, which will be played Monday in Denver. From a fantasy perspective, Jokic finished just one assist away from recording what would've been his second triple-double of the series. Even though Jokic has scored at least 24 points in each game, he's been struggling with his shot in the three losses, going 23-for-87 from the floor.

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Will return to Game 4
Gordon (calf) will return to Saturday's Game 4 in Minnesota, Duvalier Johnson of TheDNVR.com reports.
Gordon briefly exited Saturday's game, but after getting checked on in the locker room, he's been cleared to return. Gordon doesn't appear to be 100 percent healthy, but he's good enough to play.

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Headed to locker room
Gordon went back to the locker room during the third quarter of Saturday's Game 4 versus the Timberwolves with an undisclosed injury, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
It's unclear exactly what Gordon is dealing with, but he was playing through a left calf issue, so he may have had a flare-up. We should get more info soon, but if Gordon needs to miss time, that would open up minutes for Tim Hardaway and Spencer Jones.

Nuggets' Spencer Jones: Won't start Saturday
Jones won't start Saturday's Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Timberwolves.
With Aaron Gordon back from a one-game absence due to calf tightness, Jones will slide to the second unit. He totaled just 19 minutes off the bench across the first two games of this series, amassing five points and two rebounds in those appearances.

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Will play in Game 4
Gordon (calf) will play in Game 4 of the Western Conference first-round series against the Timberwolves on Saturday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Gordon will shed his questionable tag and return to action after missing Thursday's Game 3 loss due to left calf tightness. The veteran forward has averaged 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in 33.0 minutes per contest over two first-round appearances.

Nuggets' Peyton Watson: Ruled out for Game 4
Watson is out for Game 4 on Saturday against Minnesota.
Watson will be on the sidelines for a ninth consecutive contest Saturday due to a left hamstring strain, and it doesn't appear that the fourth-year forward is close to returning. The Nuggets should continue to depend more heavily on Christian Braun and Cameron Johnson on the wing Saturday.
